Hello Camp Arrowhead Alumni!
We enjoyed a crisp autumn reunion at camp in October! Attending alumni enjoyed old pastimes like nametag making, hayrides, a campfire, and even Delma chicken! Adventure seekers enjoyed testing out Arrowhead’s new high ropes course and climbing wall. Campfire and Eucharist skits were presented “by decade” units, which brought everyone back to the days of brainstorming what actually defines “funny!” It was a great weekend and everyone enjoyed spending time with their old friends at camp.
Right now we are raising money to build a staff lounge. If you remember the staff lounge being in the Dining Hall when you were at camp, it’s time to plan a visit to see all the exciting changes at Arrowhead! For the past few summers, the staff have not had an adequate place to gather socially. The alumni understand the importance for staff members to have a space where they can learn and interact with peers who are like and unlike themselves. As adults, many of us look back at our camp experience as an education in social understanding. This education is crucial! The alumni were so moved by the immediate need of this project that we began raising money at the reunion. If you would like to donate to the Staff Lounge Project, please make checks payable to Camp Arrowhead and send to Debbie Simms/Camp Arrowhead, PO Box 625, Lewes, DE 19958. Note: please write “Staff Lounge” on the memo line.) Thanks in advance for your support of this important project!
Work weekend is scheduled for April 27-29. There are always a lot of projects going on at camp. If you can attend, please contact Dina Hollingsworth (Dinacampa@aol.com) and ask her for the details. Camp could really use your help!
Please stay connected with the spirit of Camp Arrowhead. We want to keep in touch with you and what’s going on in your life. Every now and then, please drop a line on our virtual guestbook and let us know what’s going on with you.
Peace,
Meg (Callahan) Sebastianelli
